Jerzy MAZUR

  • Jerzy Mazur studied medieval history at the university in Krakow, Poland, and then went on to receive his doctorate in Jewish history from Brandeis University in Boston (2009). His research is focused on the legal and economic history of the Jews in Ashkenaz, especially in Central and Eastern Europe. After graduating from the PhD program he taught Jewish history at Universities in Baltimore and New York. His dissertation on the Jewish settlement in medieval Ukraine is being prepared for publication. In RELMIN he works with the primary texts pertaining to the legal position of the Jews in Slavic and German territories.
